“Angry Black Woman 101” is a powerful one-woman show written and performed by Kathryn Seabron.
Through a blend of storytelling, vivid vignettes, poetry, and multimedia, Seabron confronts the everyday misogynoir—the intersection of racism and sexism—that Black women face in workplaces, communities, and social spaces.
The piece draws from her personal experience at a nonprofit, using it as a springboard to
examine microaggressions, enduring stereotypes such as the “angry Black woman,” and how white women’s tears are weaponized to marginalize Black women’s lived experiences.
The show celebrates resilience, brilliance, and defiance while inviting audiences to reflect on deeply ingrained societal injustices.
There will be a showing and then discussion with Q&A following.
